The 9th International Conference on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Challenges and Current and Advanced Research in Architecture, Arts and Heritage (CCRAAH 2022), organized by the Egypt for the Future Foundation in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute and members of the Scientific and Organizing Committee of the Association of Faculties of Fine Arts in Arab Universities, will be held at the University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture Lebanese, International Federation of Arts, Icom Egypt and Ancia Society which will be held in Marsa Alam from 6 to 10 October 2022.

The first objective of CCRAAH 2022 is to ensure that attendees have access to unparalleled research opportunities. Global warming and climate change are very complex and unavoidable problems.

The conference was planned to be a periodic international platform not only to meet different groups of Egyptian society, including scientists, researchers, students and other specialists. The conference will cover and discuss the success stories and experience from all over the world and in Egypt to maximize its application.

This conference is a step towards enabling decision makers and stakeholders in the field of architecture, arts and heritage to join forces and proactively address the challenges of climate change so that actual progress can be made. By bringing together researchers working on topics related to climate change and environmental sustainability to share their latest achievements and research findings, this conference serves as an important resource to inform and provide people with a comprehensive understanding of the potential environmental sustainability opportunities to address climate change.

Among the main topics discussed at the conference:

1- Climate change mitigation and adaptation

2- Sustainable urban-rural planning and design

3- Decarbonization of the built environment

4- Governance and climate-related challenges

The conference will discuss only global environmental pressures, technological and policy innovations, and social transformations. Over the past century, the practices of image-making and imagination - in the arts, literature, and sciences - have shaped a cultural infrastructure focused on the relationship between humans, other species, and their environments. The images, in many ways, have influenced political and cultural discussions about nature, the environment, and climate.

The conference will host a number of seminars and workshops, in light of Egypt’s 2030 vision, which includes confronting the effects of climate change by having an integrated and sustainable ecosystem that enhances resilience and ability to confront natural hazards.

This conference is Associated with famous indexed and Scopus Indexed International journals. All registered conference papers will be published in Conference proceeding.
